Work Package 6: ARFIE and Les Genéts D’Or – Valorisation and Dissemination

  • ARFIE (ASS. DE RECHERCHE ET DE FORMATION SUR L’INSERTION EN EUROPE) brings together at European level various partners involved in the care and support of disabled people, associations of and for disabled people, training bodies, researchers and professionals all working in initial and continuing training.
  • Association “Les Genêts d’Or” Service provider in the   the department of Finistère (France).

The dissemination and valorization strategy has been developed in three main directions:

  • Dissemination for awareness
Target audiences which do not require a detailed knowledge of the work but it is helpful to be aware of the activities and outcomes: general EU population and other organizations working on social services, raising awareness on Aging of people with ID and their complex needs through the AGID website, AGID newsletters and AGID press release.
  • Dissemination for understanding
Policy makers, frontline staff and health professionals individuated as l targets. To reach them we shall use the web learning platform to target frontline staff and also other research and service providers, active in the disability sector. AGID outcomes and recommendation shall also be used as in essential tool into  disseminating awareness on these issues.
  • Dissemination for action
Action refers to a change of practice resulting from the adoption of products, materials or approaches offered by the AGID project.  These groups/audiences will be those people that are in a position to “influence” and “bring about change” within their organisations.  These are the groups/audiences that will need to be equipped with the right skills, knowledge and understanding of our work in order to achieve real change. So health care professionals and policy makers will be primarily target under this action through the  training modules, web-based learning  platform and AGID brochure or achievements and recommendations.

Long term targets (dissemination and sustainability)

Two specific tools will be promoted in the framework of the long-term dissemination strategy: the website of the project and the e-learning platform. This choice has been done with the aim to ensure the sustainability of the project and  to promote  valorization of its results and outcomes.  In particular, project’s result will be mainly presented through the website in order to raise awareness of the different communities of end-users as well as key stakeholders, at national and European level.

The AGID web platform will be active beyond the lifetime of the project. De Montfort University will be hosting  it  for a period of five years beyond the life of the project  and it will be updated regularly to increase its validity in the light of changing policies and procedures.
